Anders Rodin

This map is the result of countless hours of exploration, research, artistry, design, conversations, experiences, and teachings. It began with a large blank canvas and became a massive hand-drawn map of Fidalgo Island and the surrounding area. Today it is a digital rendering blended with the hand of an artist. Designed in ESRI's ArcMap software, and edited in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, the map itself holds hundreds of layers.

There are many places in this small corner of the PNW that are full of history, memory, meaning, and importance. Combining my passion for arts & the environment I document the experience of learning and exploring the island on the map. My goal is to raise awareness of the environment we live in and the important role we play as stewards in caring for the future of this place we call home.

The quality of the image itself is very high, so it is possible to print much larger if there is any interest. I have printed maps as large as 40x50", 48x60" and they have turned out really cool.
